How to Pipe Straight Lines with Royal Icing : a video tutorial

A few months ago, I was lamenting the fact that I cannot pipe straight lines.  Borders are ok, but straight likes ACROSS a cookie?  No.

Well, Gail, my cookie HERO from One Tough Cookie, has come to my rescue...and yours, too.

Look at these straight lines!  She's going to show us how to make them:

Thank you, Gail!  You're helping me overcome my fear of straight lines! :)

Just saw this post...wondering if the does something special to her royal icing to make it seem so "stretchy" and strong? Piping gel maybe? Or is it just the trick of mixing it to just the right consistency? Guess I will give it a try. Thanks!
